The parade in the city centre, with tango dancers, old belly dance performers covered in sequins, vintage cars and Finnish flags

Finding the shoes I have been looking for everywhere. I needed a pair of oxford shoes for an outfit to wear at the Juliette et Justine tea party in London, but it seemed like it was an impossible mission. But I found these at the second hand shop just few minutes before closing time. Super cheap and perfect for what I have in mind.

Things that made me happy today

Watching an old man eating his pink icecream with the slow, gentle care he probably saves for caressing his grandchildren.

Fresh lemon balm leaves in my morning tea.

Entering a lovely shop where husband and wife spend most of their days together among old and beautiful objects, trying one dozens of vintage pearl necklaces until I found the right one and being surprised at their kindness when they gave me a discount.

What I bought today – my picture

Finding this pink 100% wool scarf that is so thick and heavy it’s almost like having a blanket on your shoulders. Bought at the second hand shop, it’s gonna be perfect for -30 °.

Buying the smallest piece of gorgonzola at Stockmann and eat it with good bread once home.
